Wedding Gown Waistlines and Skirt Types


	BASQUE WAIST: This style falls below the natural waistline and can dip to a "V" or "U" in the center.		DROPPED WAIST: This waistline falls several inches below natural waist.		EMPIRE WAIST: This high waist features a cropped bodice just beneath the bust line.		NATURAL WAIST: This style falls at your actual waistline, slightly above your belly button


	BALLET LENGTH : Hemline falls just above the ankles.		BOUFFANT-BALL GOWN: This is a very full skirt gathered at the waist and usually worn over a crinoline slip.		FLOOR LENGTH : Hemline falls one-half inch to two inches from the floor.		MINI: This hemline falls just above the knees.


	PEPLUM: A short flounce or overskirt that is attached at the waist.		STREET LENGTH : Hem falls just below the knee.		TEA LENGTH : Hemline falls below the knee, usually eight to 10 inches from the floor.
